By the end of 2026, Krispy Kreme will be available in all McDonald’s locations nationwide.
But I’m not here to talk to you about the doughnuts and the burgers.
Let’s talk about nostalgia and fixing that ice cream machine.
From Twitter feeds to Instagram comments, the ice cream machine has been the internet’s fun poke at McDonald’s for years.
And if you grew up on Krispy Kreme like I did, you know that first bite into those delicious glazed doughnuts hits completely different when the hot sign is on.
So maybe McDonald’s could take a page out of Krispy Kreme's book.
What if they had their own hot sign or "cold sign" when the Ice cream machine was working?
It’ll save them the PR trouble of everybody complaining or commenting on it on social.
And now you could either download their app or go to the location and know that it’s working before you place the order for that Mcflurry that you’ve been craving all day.
This is just a quick theory, but we think it’ll be an actual great idea.
